Born and raised in Cranbury, New Jersey, Jim has deep connections to the community and attended Seton Hall University on a baseball scholarship, where he earned a BS in finance in 1989. Prior to starting his own firm, he worked with Chubb and Northwestern Mutual Life before joining Personal Investment Consultants (PIC) in 1994. PIC was founded in 1987 and was the predecessor to JCL Financial Group, LLC.

Besides these designations, Jim has had over 25 years of experience in this industry. This has allowed him to prepare for any financial curveball life might throw at him or his clients. He also enjoys sharing this knowledge by conducting over 1,000 informative educational workshops through our partner outplacement firm.
Outside of financial planning, Jim gives back to the local community by volunteering on his church’s finance council.
As president of JCL Financial Group, LLC, Jim specializes in advising outplaced individuals going through a job transition, pre-retirees, and retired individuals. With a long-term comprehensive financial planning approach, he helps his clients plan for a successful retirement. Jim also strives to assist clients in other financial niches and to develop deep personal relationships with the clients beyond the charts.
Jim, his wife, Michelle, and their two children, Colin and McKenna, live in Buckingham, Pennsylvania. When he’s not helping clients achieve their financial goals, he enjoys playing golf, watching his son play baseball and his daughter compete in gymnastics.
